Retail & Event Assistant – Cardiff & Bristol

Pay: National Living Wage
Contract: Zero-hours / flexible
Location: Cardiff & Bristol

We’re looking for an outgoing, bright and enthusiastic person to join the Rules of Play team, providing additional cover throughout the busy Christmas and New Year period.

This role will involve working across both our Cardiff and Bristol stores, so applicants will need to be able to travel to and work at either location as required.

This is a zero-hours position, primarily intended to give us extra flexibility and cover as we head into our busiest time of year. Hours will vary depending on the needs of the business, so we’re looking for someone who can be flexible and available to help in the run-up to Christmas and over the Christmas and New Year period.

Working primarily on the shop floor, you’ll be in regular contact with customers as a face of Rules of Play, providing excellent customer service and offering friendly advice and guidance on board game selection.

A comprehensive knowledge of the board gaming industry isn’t necessary; however, you should have a genuine enthusiasm for the hobby and be confident recommending and teaching some of its leading titles.

We are specifically looking for someone with tabletop board game knowledge, rather than primarily RPG or CCG experience.

The role may also involve helping us at events and promoting Rules of Play through our social media channels.
