RulesFest FAQs

What time does RulesFest start?
RulesFest kicks off on Friday 10th July at 4pm! Saturday and Sunday opens 10am, but we have a yoga session to limber you on Saturday morning at 9AM.

I’m camping at Dewslake Farm, when can I arrive?
If you’re camping with us for the weekend, you’re welcome to arrive anytime after 12pm. This gives you plenty of time to setup, get sorted and ready for some games! 

Is there time to book onto camping?

Can I buy a RulesFest ticket at the event?
At the time of writing these FAQs, there should be tickets available “on the door” for each day. However, we always recommend purchasing your tickets beforehand to avoid any potential disappointment. Tickets are available on our website.

I haven’t received a physical ticket, how will you know I have a ticket?
When you check-in (with your name and order number), you’ll receive a weekend or day wristband dependent on your ticket. These wristbands must be worn for the duration of the event, and shown upon participation of any of the associated activities.

What activities are going on and when?
We’ve got LOADS of things organised! We’ve literally posted the (nearly) full itinerary in this post with times and locations. There may be more surprises to come! Be sure to be following @RulesFest on Instagram.

How much will these extra events cost?
NOTHING. That’s right, all these experiences, activities, tournaments and events are FREE with you day or weekend RulesFest wristband!

I’m interested in an event, how do I sign up for it?
We will have sign up sheets for all gaming related activities (D&D, Blood on the Clocktower, and Tournaments) in the barn. Just sign up on the day!
For axe throwing, archery, escape room, workshops, and late-night campfire werewolf, just make your way to those areas at the appropriate time. (There may be queues dependent on demand!)

Will there be a shop to buy games?
Yes! The Rules of Play Pop Up Shop will be on site in the Barn for all your retail therapy needs.

What about Food and Drink? Will there be any available to purchase?
Firstly, you can bring what you like with your camping setup! On the site itself, we have the wonderful Rowan Tree Café open Friday (8.30am-4pm), Saturday (8.30am-9pm) and Sunday (8.30am-6pm). As well as a BBQ run by Dewslake on Saturday evening!
In terms of drinks, there will be a bar in the barn open while the barn is!
