Is there a freak snow storm that abruptly blankets the battlefield in line of sight-killing flurries? Perhaps a defective armor plat on one of your pivotal 'Mechs means the next strike from an enemy weapon does more damage than normal. Or perhaps the enemy lance attempting to flank your position has a lieutenant that expertly reads the terrain and pushes his forces through quicker than normally possible.
Enhance your battlefield tactics by substituting the Initiative Deck for the standard Initiative roll. Poor initiative position awards stronger strategic and tactical opportunities which can make up for “bad luck.” The Initiative Deck is 24 cards in a single tuck box.
