Medieval scribes liked to fill the margins of their illuminated manuscripts with pictures of strange creatures doing strange things. In honour of their commitment to filling pages with peculiar oddities and strangeness, we’ve created 24 pages of authentic OSR weirdness. Each zine is printed on parchment-coloured paper stock and machine saddle stitched in proper red thread!
The Medieval Margin-agerie: Volume 2 contains fanciful and fantastical content in the form of eight strange creatures. Each comes with a measure of doubtful background, questionable research material, and stats suitable for most OSR games. The Medieval imagination, not unlike the modern, tends towards an obsession with things below the belt. As a result, some of the content of the Margin-agerie is somewhat sexual or scatological. It’s more Carry On in nature than anything, but forewarned is forearmed.
