This Week's New Releases!

In Glow, you are an adventurer who builds their company by recruiting a new traveling companion each turn, trying to combine their powers as best as possible. You'll roll the dice to activate the advantages that your companions bring you...or their disadvantages. Gather many slivers of light to dispel the darkness, restore the colors, travel the land to reach landmarks, and (yes) score points. In short, Glow is a card-drafting, dice-rolling, and combinations game. In the box are lots of colorful dice and two game boards for two different gaming experiences. You so have to count on luck sometimes, but be attentive to your card combinations, too.
Sleeping Gods: Dungeons adds six dungeons to Sleeping Gods. Each dungeon includes a map and stories. In a dungeon, gameplay will be slightly altered from the regular game.
Each map is printed on thick card stock (Letter-sized, 8.5×11 inches). A separate dungeon booklet contains all of the descriptions, encounters, and puzzles that you'll experience as you explore.
You can access these dungeons at specific locations in the atlas of the Sleeping Gods base game. When you reach a location that contains a dungeon, you can choose to read from the standard storybook, or instead explore the dungeon that is located there. The specified location number is listed in the top left corner of the dungeon map.
Each dungeon holds dangerous traps, vicious monsters, and treasure that you can find. Because dungeons take longer to explore than a standard location, there are a few small changes to game play when you enter one. While in the dungeon, players take turns taking two actions each, which include moving to new rooms, examining your surroundings, and more.

The multi-award-winning strategy game Hansa Teutonica is back in a Big Box edition including the base game and all expansions. In the game, players attempt to increase their standing as merchants in the Hanseatic League by gaining prestige points in various ways. For instance, they can try to establish a network of counting offices in new Hansa cities by occupying an entire trade route between two cities — but before that happens, player markers can also be displaced by other players. Players may also aim to develop their trading skills, improving their abilities throughout the course of play. With only two actions per turn and a variety of contested opportunities, every turn is equally quick and strategically demanding.
Hansa Teutonica is a highly interactive strategy game as players block and push each other each turn, but it also gives cunning players the chance to put being blocked into an advantage. The game's many possible strategies can also be tested and perfected on the variant game boards of the beloved Hansa Teutonica: Britannia and Hansa Teutonica: East Expansion.

PARKS Memories is a strategic matching game for two or more players offering simple and flexible gameplay. Parks are represented in tiles laid out in a grid across the table face down. Gameplay includes four simple steps: reveal two tiles; choose one of the revealed tiles and place it in front of you; add a new tile to the board; lock one of the tiles with the hiker token. Gameplay passes from person to person until one player or team has collected three sets of matching park tiles in front of them.
Memories captures a depth of strategy in player abilities which can be activated by finding matches of PARKS resource icons when you reveal tiles. There are a variety of ways to enjoy the game. Play a head to head game, or on teams. Expand the grid size for a bigger challenge, or simplify the game to a memory game without player abilities for younger gamers.
PARKS Memories: Coast to Coast is one of three editions of PARKS Memories, highlighting the national parks in the United States with exceptional bodies of water in them. It features a unique set of player abilities. Collectively all three editions showcase every US national park.

What if all of world history had unfolded differently? What if the great empires of our history had never come into being? What if other forgotten civilizations had passed into posterity in their place? The defeated could have been the victors, and the colonizers could have been the colonized — after all, empires are won and lost on a roll of the dice!
In First Empires, each player takes control of the fate of an ancient nation through a player board, meeples, and cards. The game lasts a number of rounds depending on the player count, and on a turn you roll dice based on how you've developed your empire board. The six sides of the dice correspond to the five abilities on your board. To expand to new territories or invade opponents, you need to unlock movement ability; to annex a territory, you have to outnumber the current occupant or have a "sword" result on the dice, with the inhabitants then fleeing elsewhere. The dice also allow you develop your player board by using the die face that corresponds to the improvement and controlling an associated territory. You can gain more dice and additional re-rolls, while also unlocking achievement cards.
At game's end, you earn points based on played achievement cards, points unlocked on your personal board, and the sum of cities under your control.
