This week's brand new releases!

Brand new board games!

We've got a bumper crop of new releases to kick start 2017. Hold onto your hats, and get ready to spend the rest of that Christmas money...

Hop

Climb cloud to cloud in order to be the first to reach the top of the sky. Each challenge you face is another chance to rise higher in the sky. But, helping other players also earns you rewards. Numerous challenges can be met only by helping or being helped by the other players. Be clever and you will gain levels, but choose your partners wisely in order to limit the points they gain alongside you.

Cottage Garden

In Cottage Garden, you compete in the art of gardening and are working two beds with a variety of flowers. Whenever no unplanted box is visible on a bed, you have completed it, then you count your points and replace it with a fresh, unplanted bed. You gain points for all of the visible plant pots and planting bells.

Pokemon TCG: Snorlax GX Box

A sleeping giant awakens: Snorlax-GX! Snorlax is powerful even in its sleep—and even more dangerous when it finally wakes up as a Pokémon-GX! The Pokémon TCG: Snorlax-GX Box brings you the best of two styles of Snorlax—a foil Snorlax in the style of the very first Pokémon trading cards, and a foil Snorlax-GX featuring a brand-new game mechanic! Asleep or awake, mighty Snorlax dreams of victory!

Cosmic Eons Expansion: Cosmic Encounter

The galaxy continues to grow with Cosmic Eons, the sixth expansion for the beloved game Cosmic Encounter. Cosmic Eons features a Hidden Alliances in which players decide their alliances secretly and reveal them simultaneously, adding suspense, bluffing and possibly even backstabbing to the Alliance Phase. Thirty new aliens enter the game, including several who begin the game with essence cards that enable players to help, fine, traumatize, and even give bad dreams to their opponents.

Evolution Expansion: XCOM Board Game

XCOM: Evolution is an expansion for XCOM: The Board Game that complicates your war effort with new missions, enemies, and invasion plans, as well as mechanics that make your struggles more dangerous than ever. As the alien forces spread and peril increases, the sinister humans of the EXALT seek to take advantage of the chaos to infiltrate and destroy XCOM from within. Their treachery leads to new challenges, and you'll face new crises, you'll find your work subverted, and you'll have to deal with new threats to the very resources you need to win the war. Fortunately, your team has also made some advances since the war began.

Robo Rally (2016 Edition)

Imagine that you're a supercomputer. Now imagine that you're bored. So you dream up a little contest for you and a couple of your supercomputing buddies. Your task is to move one of the stupid little robots out on the factory floor through a series of checkpoints scattered throughout the factory. The wrinkle, however, is that the factory floor is filled with all kinds of inconvenient (if not down-right deadly) obstacles located in various locations: conveyor belts, crushers, flame-throwers, pushers, teleporters, oil slicks, pits, et cetera. But the real fun comes when the robots cross each other's path, and suddenly your perfect route is something less than that...

Dice Game: Batman the Animated Series

The Joker, Catwoman, The Riddler, and Poison Ivy are pulling off elaborate heists to score as much loot as they can carry! Based on the award-winning TV show, Batman: The Animated Series™ Dice Game lets you become a Super-Villain in a press-your-luck game for the whole family. Roll the dice and take advantage of each villain's diabolical abilities to scheme your way to victory before getting busted by Batman™!

Ogre Sixth Edition

Ogre is a desperate contest between a super-intelligent, bloodthirsty AI-controlled tank, and the squads of infantry, armor, and artillery fighting to stop its advance. You can be the Ogre and ruthlessly steamroll the humans in your way, or play the defenders, trying to defeat it at any cost.

The game is easy to learn and quick to play. It only takes a half-hour, but you'll want to do it over and over – and with 16 unique map overlays to change up each playthrough, you can! Will the Command Post survive this time, or will the Ogre triumph yet again?

Aeon's End

Aeon's End is a cooperative game that explores the deckbuilding genre with a number of innovative mechanisms, including a variable turn order system that simulates the chaos of an attack, and deck management rules that require careful planning with every discarded card. Players will struggle to defend Gravehold from The Nameless and their hordes using unique abilities, powerful spells, and, most importantly of all, their collective wits.
