Retail / Event Assistant @ Rules of Play
Hours: Approximately 30 hrs. /week; including regular weekend and evening shifts
Salary: Living wage / hour
We are looking for an outgoing, bright and enthusiastic person to help us promote our growing business: in-store, at events and through our digital / mail-order channels.
Working primarily on the shop floor and at board gaming events, you will be in constant contact with the customers as a face of Rules of Play, ensuring excellent customer service and offering advice and guidance on board game selection.
Keeping up to date with new releases and industry trends, you will assist with the planning of special promotion of the store's events and with marketing the business.
Good data entry skills are a must, as you will be required to regularly add new products to our CMS and online inventory, as well as putting together the new releases mailing list on a weekly basis and updating the online store to reflect new products and collections. You'll also be responsible for updating our blog on occasion, to update on our new games.
Whilst a comprehensive knowledge of the board gaming industry isn't necessary, you should have an enthusiasm for the hobby and be able to recommend and teach its leading titles.
