Next Week's New Releases! Nusfjord Big Box, Kreel Manor, Finca and More!
Nusfjord Big Box
Nusfjord is a tranquil fishing village in the Lofoten archipelago in northern Norway. Fifty years ago, business was blooming when the codfish would come for spawning. Today, Nusfjord is more of a museum than a village, with less than a hundred people living there. Imagine how beautiful this place must be given that you must pay a fee to even look at the houses. Cruise ships used to pass by this long and now mostly abandoned island world.
In the time period in which the game Nusfjord is set, things looked quite different. Sailing ships dominate the fjord. The rocks around Nusfjord are covered in trees. As the owner of a major fishing company in Nusfjord on the Lofoten archipelago, your goal is to develop the harbor and the surrounding landscape, and to succeed you must enlarge your fleet, clear the forest, erect new buildings, and satisfy the local elders. Others do this as well, of course, so the competition is steep.
Nusfjord Big Box contains the Nusfjord base game, two previously released expansions (Plaice and Salmon), and two new expansions (Trout and Besokende), along with extra components.
Kreel Manor
Finca
The players take the roles of Mallorcan farmers, who strive to harvest as many of the island‘s tropical fruits: figs, almonds, olives, oranges, grapes, and lemons, as possible. The players deliver their harvested fruits to the island communities, which have constantly changing requirements during the course of the game. For these deliveries, the players receive victory points. In the end, the player with the most victory points is the winner. This new edition comes with a larger board and includes Finca: El Razul. The earlier releases support 2-4 players, whereas the later Pandasaurus Games edition supports 2-5 players.
Zoomies
In Zoomies, you're a dog walker helping your pups at the park make friends, collect bones, become the leader of the pack, and get the zoomies. Each turn, place a domino-style tile in the playing area, then place a scoring token on it. Each of the four scoring tokens can be played two ways, so you have to choose what's best and what to give up. Tokens give you points based on adjacent dogs, bone icons, and more.
Play your dogs right, and you can add points to a previous token while digging up a whole new way to score. You might have to boost an opponent's score, but maybe they'll wag a few points your way as well. At the end of the game, score each token to see who's top dog.
