We’re delighted to announce the debut of RulesFest: A Board Game Camping Festival taking place 10th-12th July 2026 at Dewslake Farm Campsite, Pembrokeshire.

An Evolution of RulesCon

One of the biggest requests we have each year at our annual event, RulesCon, is can we do more!! RulesCon is still about getting great games to the table with great people. 

RulesFest will have those same vibes, but in a barn and field! RulesFest combines a love of all things tabletop games and another love of getting outdoors and camping.

What Can I Expect At RulesFest?

Alongside ample open gaming in the barn, marquee and Rowan Tree Cafe, you’ll have access to our extensive library of demo games — from light party favourites to deeper strategy titles — all ready to play throughout the weekend.

Our welcoming learn-to-play team will be on hand to help you find something you’ll love.

We will also be hosting some of our much-loved casual-competitive events! That means, our flagship PitchCar Tournament (fast, chaotic, and fiercely contested) will be debuting out West!!

In addition to this, Blood on the Clocktower will be facilitated across the whole weekend — around the campfire, or in private bell tents,. Regardless, it will always guarantee a  memorable experience.

Across the weekend we run learn-to-play sessions for Dungeons & Dragons, other RPG systems, all in their own private bell tent! If you’ve ever wanted to try roleplaying but didn’t know where to start, this is a perfect opportunity. Friendly Game Masters, welcoming tables, and no prior experience needed!

Our staple Rules of Play pop-up shop will be on site for all your gaming retail therapy needs.

Festival Feels

Not only that, the fabulous onsite award-winning Rowan Tree Cafe will be open all weekend and will be hosting live music from local talent throughout the weekend!

As well as that, there will be local and independent food and drinks vendors operating all weekend to keep you fed, watered and ready for games!

Outdoor games will be getting some love at RulesFest! Including games of Molkky and Kubb to make the most of playing outside. 

While we’re camping, we’ll be making the most of some fireside atmosphere with evening social deduction taking place on the regular.

We at Team Rules pride ourselves on making events that are easy and welcoming. RulesFest is no different in that sense

Come and go as you please. Play all day. Take breaks. Visit Tenby. Hit the beach. Grab food and drinks at the award winning Rowan Tree Cafe and onsite vendors. Catch up with friends. Discover something new.

Weekend tickets allow access to the site from Friday, 10th July 2026 until close of site on Sunday, 12th July 2026 - and all events and shows running throughout the weekend..

Weekend Tickets will be swapped for a wristband that allows for unlimited re-entry to and from the site for the weekend wristband holder.
