Introducing... Rules of Play: Board Game Experiences
Are you planning an upcoming event and want some kind of extra 'pizzazz' to make it memorable?
Perhaps you're hoping for a new, fully inclusive workplace team-building activity? Or maybe you're in charge of the events programme at an arts centre and you want to offer your customers something different...
Our board game experiences in Cardiff, Bristol and beyond are designed to bring the fun of gaming to you, whether it's at your wedding, your corporate event, your school, your library - wherever!
The story so far
We've been delivering our gaming experiences for a long time, spanning across every industry from NGOs and charities to weddings and corporate conferences. We've delivered the break-out session at the annual Mensa Conference, formed part of the 'after hours' programme at Techniquest, brought fun & team bonding to organisations like NHS Wales, Monzo and Cardiff University - and those are just a few!
Over the last 3-4 years or so, we've run our gaming evenings at pubs and bars around Cardiff and Bristol; all borne from our original, long-standing #BoardGameBar (Cardiff's very first), averaging over 50 guests at every event.
We've been honoured to be the entertainment at 3 wedding receptions, a 50th birthday party, children's holiday clubs, and seasonal events at Halloween and Christmas.
We've been the port of call for schools running their own games days and board game clubs, and helped libraries further their reach and bring new audiences into their spaces. And throughout it all, the common thread is you - our customers, and your love of gaming, of trying new experiences, of supporting new ventures.
As always, we want to say a huge thank you for your support. Without your bookings and recommendations and continued patronage, our gaming experiences wouldn't have seen the success it has - so we're genuinely grateful.
How we run our bespoke gaming experiences
Gaming experiences bring people together - even when it's competitive! Board games are undeniably the best way to encourage co-operation, interaction and team building, and that's what fuels our events.
At your bespoke gaming experience, our games teachers will arrive with all the necessary rich and diverse array of games for your group, tailored perfectly for your event. They can range from social deduction, co-operative, adventure, party, strategy - everything you can think of.
We manage and organise the entire experience, wherever it may be. We can come to you or any appropriate venue you'd like.
Our expert, bilingual* games teachers are the magic that 'make your event happen'; your dedicated experience organisers! They bring along plenty of games tailored to your attendees, recommend games for groups, teach game rules, facilitate the smooth running of your event and pack everything away at the end too.
*A fyddai'n well gennych i'ch digwyddiad fod drwy'r Gymraeg? Gallwn ddarparu tîm cyfrwng Cymraeg i chi - dim problem o gwbl!
And, of course, if you have any special requirements or queries, we'll do everything we can to accommodate those.
How we can help you
Our board game experiences can be booked as a standalone event, or used as part of an existing event - we're flexible.
For corporate and charity clients, board gaming is the perfect 'break-out' session for fun and relaxation. It's also great for fundraising events, adding value and a memorable activity for guests.
Schools and pupils benefit through the educational benefits of board gaming; games are a driving force for strengthening team building and co-operation skills, whether as part of the mainstream curriculum, Inset Day programmes and or other 'fun-ducational' learning sessions.
Board gaming events are also ideal for libraries that want to offer something new their users will love. Gaming is great for families, drop-in events and regular sessions.
For commercial, hospitality & retail businesses who want to offer regular gaming events, our board game experiences can help you offer something different for your customers, new and old.
Lastly, hosting a board game experience gives you marketing ammunition you can shout about. It offers value and extra incentives for attendees, and it adds a unique 'edge' to any event.
