Super Board Games for Super Heroes
Considering this week's release of Deadpool, it's about time to celebrate the mash-up of two great things; board games and superheroes. Whether it's Marvel or DC, comic books or films, there's one thing that unites all superheroes; they cause a terrible mess in their cities. Join their destruction, game style, by playing one of these top board games featuring superheroes!
1. Legendary: Marvel Deck Building - 1-5 players, 45 minutes, £50
Arguably one of the most popular superhero board games in store, Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game sees players recruit powerful hero cards to add to their deck in order to build a stronger and more resourceful deck and combat villains who keep popping up to cause trouble. It's the ultimate showdown between good and evil!
2. Marvel Cardlines - 2-8 players, 15 minutes, £13
In this simple but fun card, Marvel Cardlines, game players test their knowledge of Marvel superheroes by seeing who can place all of their hero cards down first! Each hero card has 3 different stats on Strength, IQ and Fighting Ability. The winner is the player to get rid of all their cards first, making it the superhero version of the always-popular Timeline game series.
3. Rory's Story Cubes: Batman - 1-12 players, 10 + minutes, £12
Bit of a curveball, but we had to include something from DC, of course! Rory’s Story Cubes: Batman uses dice featuring symbols to weave imaginative stories from the players. In this fully-integratable set, all of the cubes are based around Batman, so you can create your own Batman superhero sagas - the stories up to you and the dice!
