Game of the Week – Legends of Andor.Winner of the best advanced game in the 2013 Spiel des Jahres awards, Legends of Andor is a co-operative fantasy adventure game for 2-4 players. Taking on the role of one of four different heroes (which in a great touch are each available to play as either female or male), you’ll defend the land of Andor against hordes of invading monsters. The game features absolutely stunning artwork, and is really cleverly designed, delivering fast-paced gameplay through a serious of interlinked scenarios that together form an epic narrative campaign. One of the greatest innovations of the game is how you learn to play it. Rather than the traditional rule book, the first scenario acts as a tutorial, with the game’s card-driven system introducing aspects of the game as you play – allowing you to get started with the game almost as soon as you’ve got it home (great for impatient types like us!). For more information, check out Tom Vasel’s video review andRichard Ham’s comprehensive video overview, gameplay walkthrough andreview.
