Board Games for Cat Lovers
Did you know there's a cat cafe opening soon in Cardiff? This new trend from places like Japan and America means that cat lovers everywhere can finally rejoice! If you don't own a kitty yourself but you love felines more than you love breathing, the brand new Feline Good cafe can be your home from home when it opens!
In the meantime, celebrate the wonder of our feline friends with the best board games for cat lovers out there, and scroll down for a bonus cat photo!
1. Exploding Kittens £22
2-5 players | 15 minutes | Age 7+
Move over, Kim Kardashian's butt: Exploding Kittens broke the internet better (and only about a month later, too!). This cheeky-but-charming game of kitten destruction has been high on the radar ever since its stint on Kickstarter, almost raising $9,000,000. Gameplay is super simple; players must draw cards until someone draws a exploding kitten and meets a fiery, feline-y end! There's a little more to it, but I had you at 'Kim Kardashian's butt'.
2. Cat Tower £18
3-6 players | 15 minutes | Age 4+
JUST LOOK AT THAT TINY FACE! Stare into the cat's eyes and you suddenly forget about all the terrible things happening in the world. This game is lovely and doesn't involve feline destruction, so in the interest of equal balance, it's a wise choice. In Cat Tower, you must build a wibbly-wobbly tower for the cats to jump up and grab the hidden fish. How could you refuse to help?! Look at those peepers...
3. Tempurra £11
3-7 players | 20 minutes | Age 8+
Tem-purr-a is a push-your-luck style game where you stuff your furry tum and show your opponents who's the fattest cat in town! Think 'eating contest for cats'! Over several rounds, pass dishes to your neighbors or dig into the buffet. Eat as much as possible, and avoid indigestion, all while pushing your opponents to overeat! Fat cats: the cutest kind there is.
If you're a cat lover looking for a board game or card game to satisfy your insatiable hunger for kitten-related loveliness, then we've got you covered! Just don't expect the cats to play games with you. They're far too important for that.
