New & Unusual Family Board Games

If your family loves board games but you're getting a little tired of the same old gameplay, allow us to introduce you to some new and unusual board games! Shake things up with these weird and wonderful tabletop experiences, recommended by yours truly...

 

1. The Pied Piper - 2-5 players, 20 minutes, £20

A new way to teach kids those all-important moral stories, The Pied Piper is the latest in the 'Tales & Games' series. You live in Hamlin, a town infested by rats. The easiest way to get the rats out of your house is to throw them into your neighbors' house, or hope the Pied Piper comes past and lures them out - the player who can best keep the rats out of his house wins!

 

2. Tempurra - 3-7 players, 20 minutes, £11

Tem-purr-a is a push-your-luck style game where you stuff your furry tum and show your opponents who's the fattest cat in town in an eating content! Over several rounds, pass dishes to your neighbors or dig into the buffet. Eat as much as possible, and avoid indigestion, all while pushing your opponents to overeat! A lovely little family game, whether you're cat lovers, food lovers, or both!

 

3. Mr Lister's Quiz Shootout - 3-8 players, 3 minutes, (age 14+), £15

If you love ya quizzes and like yer lists, this is probably the game for you - it's like an old-style Western shootout but with brains for guns. In Mr Lister's Quiz Shootout, someone's gonna ask a question with a ton of correct answers. Find an answer and live to play another day. Get it wrong, and you're out. But find a golden answer and you're into the shootout. Great for families who love games and luuuurv quizzes!
