Ticket to Ride: UK Now On PRE-ORDEREVERYBODY STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING IMMEDIATELY! This year's hottest expansion is due to hit shelves in mid-November, and you can pre-order your copy NOW! It's Ticket to Ride: United Kingdom & Pennsylvania! No longer will you have to stick a small, sad Welsh flag on to cities in Europe to feed your appetite for nationalism - in this one, the Welsh flags are already on the board! If you own any version of Ticket to Ride, you'll know the sweet relief that's coming your way, my friend. Chug your way from London to Brighton, Belfast to Liverpool, Cambridge to Llandrindod Wells!!! What a time to be alive! Who knew trains could get me this riled up?! For £26 (and with free delivery, don't forget!), you can own the UK map that the world (well, Britain) has been waiting for. Pre-order your copy TODAY - release date is due in mid-November! Yay!

Monopoly Doomsday. The game we all love to hate is teaming up with a video game. Not for the first time, mind you - World of Warcraft and Legend of Zelda have also been given the insufferable board game treatment. This time, however, will be different. Will it? I don't know. Fallout, the video game that the internet tells me is a 'post-apocalyptic, retro-futuristic role-playing game', is getting a Monopoly makeover. Due to coincide with the release date of Fallout 4 in November, this will be the game that has gamers all over the globe asking, 'Why? What did we do to deserve this?'. Monopoly is a cynic's goldmine, so dropping it in a dystopian wasteland and pushing everything to the brink of nuclear disaster is not so far-fetched, but this is Monopoly. People will still hate the other players. Relationships will still crack under the strain of sinking debt. And after 3 gruelling hours, someone will still freak out and smash the whole thing to smithereens.

Every element tells a story about Mize and Patterson as individuals, and as a couple.

Proposals & Pandemic. Just a little nugget of nice news to warm the cockles of your shrivelled hearts, my dear readers - four days ago, on September 21st, Alex Patterson proposed to his boyfriend of two years, Benjamin Mize, with literally the best cake I've ever seen. Half birthday and half proposal, this cake - made up of Ben's favourite things - includes bits of Harry Potter, The Iliad and The Odyssey and (DID YA SEE IT YET?!) my personal favourite board game, Pandemic! This is it, guys. This is the 'cake bar' that has been set, if anyone was keeping track. Just beautiful.

Game Of The Week - Artifacts, IncFresh off the Kickstarter press, this 2-4 player board game turns anyone into avid explorers! In Artifacts, Inc., players in 1920s New York lead a team of adventurers into the unknown. You want to build the biggest and best reputation for being fearless and hungry for discovery - and if you could do some actual discovering when you're out there, then that's a bonus too! As you grow your archaeology company, you'll have to choose between selling your artifacts to museums for money, having the best combo of expeditions and buildings or taking a dive into the blue and searching for lost cities and hidden treasures beneath the waves - whatever grows your company and reputation faster! The player with the most reputation points wins the game and the respect of your fellow peers in the field. Well done, old boy. A true adventurer you are!
